Three months to the day after the end of the season, Formula 1 returns to life on the Bahrain circuit. The ten teams will gather at the site for intensive pre-season testing sessions, the only chance they'll get to run their new-season challengers before the season begins in Bahrain.
The 2024 dates are yet to be confirmed - but between now and then, there are still a few months to go, and in terms of the F1™ development cycle, that's an eternity. Any changes in chassis regulations, tires, engines will be checked and tested in Bahrain and ten all-new cars will be on display then!"
Most teams offer hospitality at the pre-season tests held in Bahrain at the end of February / beginning of March.
For those who cannot wait
With car development and build timed to the hour, many of the cars at the test won’t have been seen by outsiders until they break cover on the first morning. It’s incredibly exciting – for us as much as for our guests!
In the past, teams would have spent the whole winter shaking down their new cars, running every single day, perhaps with two teams working at different circuits, maybe on different continents. That’s prohibited now, and testing is consolidated into three days. It’s fast, furious, and every second counts: and that’s why Bahrain is the perfect venue. It’s a circuit that provides a very firm examination, testing every aspect of car design: the car that’s quick at the Bahrain Circuit will be quick pretty much everywhere. What’s good for us is good for our guests too: F1™ tests here because of the logistics and the weather – but the circuit also offers outstanding hospitality facilities, superb catering and a variety of excellent vantage points from which to watch the action on track.
